Rikolto, together with Comeos, Ghent University, Gondola, KU Leuven, The Shift and Abdij van Park, kindly invite you to their symposium 'Imagining the supermarket of tomorrow'. Save the date or register below. Event in Dutch/French.
Supermarkets serve a large group of citizens and hold important levers to make the food system more sustainable. They are taking many initiatives, but scaling up practices remains difficult. What are the hurdles and preconditions for structural sustainability? We tackled these questions with the five largest supermarkets in Belgium (Aldi, Carrefour, Colruyt, Delhaize and Lidl) in a series of kitchen table discussions, as part of the Learning Network for Future-Proof Supermarkets.
During this symposium we will present the results of these discussions and together try to imagine the supermarket of tomorrow with perspectives from supermarkets, food companies, agricultural organizations, governments, knowledge institutions and art.
This symposium is part of 'Erfood, Culinair Erfgoedfestival Leuven'.
